Well the effects of Polaroid discontinuing film are becoming obvious. For large format films, B&H only has Type 52 listed. Could not find any on Calumet except a Fuji 4x5 film.

As for Spectra, have not seen it anywhere except eBay.

Pack films 664, 669, and 690 are still available from B&H, Calumet and 664 is in stock at Freestyle with others on back order

Scablab (I can't remember how to link anymore) turned me onto a Polaroid TZ film (Variant of SX-70 at Freestyle). I promptly bought 3 boxes about a month ago, just checked their site this evening and it appears to be gone.

600 film is still widely available.

What is a Polarox?

A form of free art where the recipient is forced to make a value judgement regarding what it is they received in the mail, ponder why they got it, and are forced to make a decision as to what to do with it. Most recipients are not aware they are going to get the work.

They are also sent to musuems all over the world. My local museum gets one every month. No specific persons attention, I like the idea of the museum secretary, volunteer or mail clerk being first confronted with the art, not the museum curator or exhibit review committee member.

The works are produced using mature technologies (Polaroid, Xerox machine, US Postal Service, and typewriter) which to me are antithetical to the digital age.

interesting work!
I really dig all these polaroids, its a shame they've stopped selling the film, but I'm sure you bought enough for at least a few more years. I also have a question:

What did you use to wrap that model in your picture "Wrapped 1". Its a very cool effect and I'd love to try it out in some of my work. I know, I know, its not up yet, but someday when i feel like I have something good enough to post. Also, is she the same model from your image "White"? I want to get a feel for what kind of distortion I should expect from using that material.

Thanks, you rock!
The material is gauze that I purchased from the local fabric store. The models in Wrapped 1 and White are two different models.

Thanks for your interest in my work.
Thanks very much. Do you wet the gauze after you put it on them to form a closer bond to the skin, or just wrap it very tightly? Also, where do you find your models? I am somewhat amateur and don't know if models would want to use their time with me learning.
The gauze is wet. I wrapped the gauze around the model then wet it with a spray bottle to achieve the effect I wanted.
you are one of the best photographers that i have seen in this website !

just wow !!!
